Transforming your house into your home

Before: Play Everywhere, Belonging Nowhere

Toys and play had spread throughout the home including into the living and dining spaces, leaving no clear place for children to fully be themselves, and no pause for shared family areas. The intention was clear, but the balance was missing.

Designing for Freedom & Imagination

We set out to create a room where play could unfold freely and without rules. Flexible furniture, soft materials, and a ceiling that invites imagination allow the space to shift from calm moments to castles, stories, and movement.

Now: A Room That Holds the Play

The playroom gives children a space that truly belongs to them. Toys have a home, creativity has room to grow, and the rest of the house is free to return to everyday family life (well, mostly).

"We approached Daria from finallyhomedays with a simple request: “to think about the layout of a playroom.” Never did I imagine that, by the end of our collaboration, such a wonderful space would emerge. Over several months, she created a universe that perfectly blends existing furniture, a new wall color and wallpaper, new play elements, practical storage solutions and thoughtful details that inspire joy and freedom.
